Linkin Park is one of the best rap rock bands and considered one of the best nu metal bands ever. Since theyâre such an influential band, letâs rank the best Linkin Park albums, with the help of your votes. Merging alternative rock, nu metal and rap rock, with strong electronic influences, Linkin Park emerged from the suburbs of Agoura Hills, California with their 11-times platinum debut Hybrid Theory (2000) and quickly became leaders of a new genre of music that, at the time, was almost impossible to categorize. Led by their late singer Chester Bennington, Linkin Park went on to release seven studio albums, all which went multi-platinum except for their final release One More Light (2017), which went gold.
This Linkin Park discography is ranked from best to worst, so the top Linkin Park albums can be found at the top of the list. To make it easy for you, we haven't included Linkin Park singles, EPs, or compilations, so everything you see here should only be studio albums. If you think the greatest Linkin Park album isn't high enough on the list, then be sure to vote for it so it receives the credit it deserves.
This list of popular Linkin Park CDs has been voted on by music fans around the world, so the order of this list isn't just one person's opinion. Make sure you don't just vote for critically acclaimed albums; if you have a favorite Linkin Park album, then vote it up, even if it's not necessarily the most popular.

Linkin Park's seventh studio album, One More Light, is available now, and though the band has had its sure ups and downs over the last two decades, the impact they've had on the rock music scene throughout is undeniable.
From their explosive origins with 2000's Hybrid Theory to their more divisive and experimental recent releases, the band has been in a near-constant state of reinvention over the years, such that their current style feels almost totally divorced from the one that made them famous in the first place.
With One More Light being arguably their most radical release to date, it's a damn fine time to revisit the outfit's discography and figure out how the much-anticipated new release fits in with the rest of their back catalogue..
7. One More Light (2017)
Best Track: One More Light

Worst Track: Heavy
Sadly, the band's brand-new release is by far their worst to date, pulling them even further towards the pop music spectrum while delivering a record virtually indistinguishable from their earlier albums.
There are a few catchy tunes throughout, and it smartly clocks in at a svelte 35 minutes, but the Stormzy collaboration (Good Goodbye) is legitimately cringe-worthy, there aren't enough guitars or Mike Shinoda, and overall it feels like a cynical step back rather than another ambitious style change.
At least future records probably can't get any worse than this though, right?

(Only showing comments with -2 votes or higher. You can alter this threshold from your profile page. Manage Profile) Linkin Park was a very important part of my adolescence. When I felt like shit (which was pretty often), Chester always made feel.. 'understood', so to speak. I never gravitated towards Mike Shinoda as a rapper, always thought he was pretty mediocre. The music itself was kind of repetitive and flat, especially in their latest records. But Chester I did love. He was famous for his soaring, angsty, angry screams, which was a side of him that I liked, but when he truly spoke to me was when he was at his most fragile and vulnerable, in songs like 'My december' or the verses of 'Numb' and 'Breaking the habit'. The pain and sadness he so effectively conveyed in those moments always moved me. I'm not gonna say that he was a genius. I'm not gonna say that Linkin Park was one of the most influential or best bands of all time. They're definitely not. But like I said, Chester was a voice that I truly identified with at a certain point of my life, and his death was heartbreaking. RIP Chester, and thank you for everything.

Hybrid Theory was a great album, and Meteora was a good album. Their collaborations with Jay Z were also creative (I didn't like them at the time but in hindsight it was really well done, such a blending of style and genre). Since then however, they have gone downhill. With the exceptions of Hybrid Theory and Meteora their album ranks seem to be overrated, but the artist ratings they receive seem to be underrated. Chester has a great voice for both rough metal vocals and clean smooth melodic singing.
